DISENGAGE, 1987
In Freud’s interpretation of dream symbols, the house or
shelter connotes the soul. The dual graphic images are that of
a water tower and a circus tent, being swept away by a
flood. The metaphors are numerous. At the time I was about
to separate from my wife and child, yet many years later I
realized the dual structures applied to my own subconscious,
as the sole survivor of a twin birth.
