BISHOP McEACHAN’S BOAT, 1989
In the nave of a Presbyterian Church in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island,
stands a lapstrake hull skiff that the first Presbyterian Bishop of the
Maritimes used to minister to his flock. To negotiate the persistent ice floes in
winter, he had sled runners fashioned to extend beyond the hull, so he might
more easily drag the skiff over frozen terrain.
